Sarah Vida

The main character of the story, Sarah is a vampire hunter who is the daughter and sister of famous vampire hunters. Sarah uses the name "Sarah Green" in school. For the purposes of clarity, the name Sarah Vida is used throughout this study guide except in direct quotations. Sarah is a strong character although her main weakness is her desire to live up to her family's expectations. She counters this weakness by putting herself into situations that are inherently dangerous. Sarah has worked with a group of hunters prior to moving to her new high school. There she befriends a pair of vampires and when her sister questions her about her choice, Sarah reveals that she's relieved to be in a situation in which she isn't going to be responsible for the deaths of her friends.
