Importance: Here, Lewis is considering a play he wants to write about two women who may have been inseminated with their brother’s sperm accidentally. This is of note for two reasons: the first is that family bonds are important in the novel as mutations can be passed down genetically and also because the actions of one generation can greatly affect the actions of another generation. If these were inseminated with their brother’s sperm, the babies would be at high risk of abnormalities because of their genes.
