Chapters 40-42 Summary

Two years after Kahder's death, Nazeer is grooming Tariq for a position of leadership in the Bombay mafia. Their new don is Salman Mustaan and he adheres to Khader's rules regarding heroin and pornography. Rival gangs came to power in these areas.

Abdullah takes Lindsay to a meal with his friends and points out Modena on the street. Lindsay follows him and finally catches him. Modena is grossly disfigured from the attack by Maruizio. The two men talk and Lindsay finds that he has been watching him and the others. He is looking for Ulla. He knows she went to Germany but feels she will return because she loves him.
