Chapter Two Summary

As the days go by, Lily realizes that she misses Claude and their easy friendship. Lily also realizes that she does not miss the dating relationship she had with Marshall, and has easily fallen back into the routine of karate teacher and student.

Lily showers and considers going to Claude's, but stops herself. Lily values control in her life over everything, and is not willing to give that up for anyone. Going to Claude's would make him happy for a while, but in the end a relationship between the two would never work. Instead, Lily takes a walk, strolling through Shakespeare in the dark. Along the way she realizes someone else is on the street and recognizes the man that had been working out with Darcy Orchard. Lily continues on her way, unafraid, but curious.
