Chapter 14 Summary

Gwen meets Stephen at a restaurant on State Street. Stephen is already there and has ordered fish and chips for them. Gwen gets right to the point and asks him what he knows about Ryan Cody. He tells Gwen that he and Ryan meet a few times a week to go running together. One morning Ryan doesn't show up and Stephen goes to his house to find the family in utter chaos because Meredith has gone missing.

She continues questioning him about how well he knows Ryan and the Cody family. He tells her he's been playing tennis and running with Ryan for about five years, but doesn't know the rest of the family that well.
