Chapter 8, 9 Summary

The next morning, in chapter 8, Lily tells Lucas they found Hood in town and do not need to go out to Red Lake. Hood is suspected of living nearby because the address listed is part of a small claims case; however, Sloan and some narcotics officers are checking out the neighborhood to get confirmation.

Lily and Lucas get into a fight because Lily wants to be with Sloan checking out the situation. Lucas tells her they are doing their job and she storms away. They leave to meet with the FBI agent, Kieffer, Sloan, and the other officers to get a rundown of the situation.

Hood lives with two roommates, so the officers want to make sure that the roommates are safely away before taking action. Kieffer and Lucas disagree on the method of capturing Hood, which leads to an argument and little...
