3, 4, 5 Summary
Two men are walking along the beach in chapter 3. Two Sioux cousins, Aaron and Samuel, are called the Crows by their community. Both men are nearly inseparable and have been for the last sixty years. Aaron and Sam talk about the men they sent to assassinate the two whites that they considered enemies to the Indians and are sad that Bluebird died so quickly. They discuss how the low-risk attacks, so close together, should bring the right amount of media attention and draw someone out.
As they walk, Sam tells Aaron that they need to use their son, Shadow Love as a weapon and not send him away. Aaron is afraid of Shadow Love and is not sure they should use him to kill others. Their plan is risky and their choices are going to Canada or dying; both are fairly sure they will have...
