Matt
Matt is the fourteen year-old best friend of Aman and the grandson of Grandpa. Matt is a kind and protective teenager who deeply loves his family and dogs. He values being best friends with Aman. When Matt learns of Aman’s situation at Yarl’s Wood, Matt tries as hard as he can to get in touch with Aman. He has no success until he brings Grandpa in to help. Matt, angered by Aman being locked up, encourages Grandpa to write about the situation. Then, Matt joins his Grandpa in staging a protest to secure the release of Aman and his mother.
