Chapters 13-17 Summary

In Chapter 13, Rose goes immediately to Dimitri. Dimitri makes a single phone call and minutes later escorts Rose to Victor Dashkov's cell. Victor immediately asks questions about Lissa, seeming to prove to Rose that Victor only sent the note because he had nothing to force Lissa herself to come see him. However, as they talk, Rose asks Victor a few things about ghosts and he implies that when she killed the Strigoi in Colorado, it caused her to draw closer to the world of the dead and enable her to see ghosts. Before they leave, Dimitri threatens to kill Victor is he hurts Rose.
