Chapter 25

Rebecca and Thad were in her apartment talking about the amazing scientists who had gone before them. She noted that Thad distanced himself again and called him on it. He told her that he was considering doing something that was technically illegal. Just that morning, he had asked Gordon to do a check on Lynn Briley, the sister-in-law he was supposed to meet soon.

He took a deep breath and told Rebecca that he was thinking of stealing a safe full of moon rocks. Thad told her he wanted to give her the moon. She told him she thought it sounded romantic, and they should do it.
