Summary
The midmorning haze clears a few miles outside of Naples, and Capri appears. Lucie wonders how warm the water must be. Her older cousin Charlotte is also excited and notes that she wants to try a well-known restaurant in the city. They are doted upon by attendants when they arrive at the hotel for Isabel’s wedding. Charlotte is nervous about the safety of the luggage, prompting Lucie to hope she will not be too boring during the trip. Lucie worried that she would not be able to attend the wedding because it coincided with an important weekend for her mother. Lucie is also self-conscious of her looks as they walk along the coastal boutiques, particularly her curly hair. They arrive at the hotel with their guide, Paolo, before Charlotte exclaims that there is a mistake and they must see the manager...
