Summary
Chapter 6 opens at the Bowery Bar, where the narrator is drinking with friends. A successful single movie producer, who she gives the alias Samantha Jones to, walks in. She is always with a different young and attractive man. The narrator notes that for the first time in Manhattan history, women in their 30s and 40s have enough power and money of their own and they now can see men as sex objects.
