Eva's Ring
Eva's cameo ring symbolizes history. Though Eva has worn the ring for years, she has never known about its true origin. She stole it from her mother as a child, believing that it was a gift from one of Lizette's old boyfriends. Despite this believe, the ring brings Eva comfort throughout her life. She is often depicted spinning it around her finger when she anxious. At the end of the novel, she learns that the ring is a family heirloom.
