Apron

Klara’s apron symbolizes the importance of work and lack of enjoyment of her own life. Klara is often resentful that Annelise does not work as hard as she believes she should, preferring to spend time with friends or otherwise away from the bakery. Klara, however, has a physical reminder of the daily work she must do.

Dining table
