Epilogue Summary
In the final reports, twenty-four athletes, and twenty-nine Olympic security people and tourists died during the hostage taking. Thirteen hours of siege finally ended and all but two of the terrorists - the Dentist and the Architect were also found dead. Overall, no small thanks to David and Alix, the death toll was minimal. Luckily, in one of the dormitories, the Architect had refused to turn on the gas and kill the young athletes thereby saving their innocent lives. The worst tragedy was the twelve athletes that were killed from the West German team.
Alix and David disappeared from sight, escaping the Olympic village, and not seen since. Several photographers claimed off and on to have photos of them, but none was conclusive.
