The Fuhrer sits contemplating all that he has accomplished, while Red Army soldiers assemble. Tanks rattle forward down the empty streets, giving a false sense of comfort to those who are watching from their hiding places. Helicopters are landing discretely on rooftops nearby and troops are ready to push through. Nearly a hundred sharpshooters lay quietly on rooftops, under jeeps and harmless looking vehicles, tensely waiting for the opportunity to fire. The networks film the great Russian war machines with enthusiasm while two limousines make their way through the tunnels under the Olympic Village. In no time, the rumors spread that it is a last minute effort by Brezhnev and Podgorny to meet with the terrorists and diffuse the situation.
