Alix Rothschild is a survivor. She is one of almost a million in the United States alone that survived the concentration camps. Her mother was killed thirty-five years previously in one of the camps, and Buchenwald is where her father died. Alix is now a well-known model, but despite the fans, lights and photographers re-enforcing her fame and good fortune, Alix's mind wanders again and again to the horrors of the past.
