Summary

In Chapter Thirty, a helicopter arrives to rescue Lia and Shane. One of the men on board seems confused that she and Shane aren’t happier than they are about being rescued. As she thinks about how the pilot is probably letting her family know at that moment that she has been found, Lia suddenly realizes that Shane has no family to notify. Her family is his family. It hits her that is why Shane told Rafe about their new romance, Rafe was like a brother to him. She apologizes to Shane even though he doesn’t know for what she is apologizing. He tells her their relationship won’t end once they get back home.
