Summary
In Chapter Twenty-four, after they spend a few days in their cave hideout, Shane tells Lia they need to move closer to the beach so they’ll have a better chance at getting rescued. Shane mentions marriage, which almost incites a panic attack in Lia. After Shane initially asks what is wrong and doesn’t get a good answer, he pretends that everything is okay. Lia dreads having to go back to the real world but still helps Shane build a fire pit to signal searchers of their whereabouts.
