Chapters 13 - 16. Summary

In Chapter 13, the person in the house comes up stairs and it turns out to be Selena's mother. She had to come home because the power went out at the restaurant. Selena is relieved. The two have hot chocolate, light a fire and talk about Selena's life. She considers telling her mother about the stalker, but decides not to stress her mother out.

Selena literally bumps into Jake the next day at school. He is angry that Danny got the part of Romeo. He tells Selena she is Juliet. Jake rages about Danny always getting what he wants and swears that this time Danny won't get what he wants. Selena tells him to stop talking that way, it scares her. She tells Jake she thought he only wanted character parts, this upsets Jake.
