The Twenty-eighth Summary

Jessica and Gladdie are talking at Bethany's baby shower. Gladdie mentions Columbia and Jessica asks how she knows about that. Gladdie confesses Marcus told her. Gladdie asks Jessica when she is going to give Marcus a chance, but Jessica reminds her grandmother that Gladdie said he wasn't interested in Jessica. Gladdie says she just said so Jessica wouldn't make it too easy on Marcus.

The Twenty-eighth Analysis

Jessica sees Gladdie as someone who is in direct contrast to herself. The truth is that Jessica and Gladdie are a lot alike. This is one of the reasons why they get along so well. Gladdie is trying to teach Jessica some valuable life lessons.
