March 1st Summary

Jessica writes Hope. Jessica tells Hope that she received an email from Paul Parlipiano. He is inviting her to spend spring break in New York City going to a demonstration with him. Jessica also says Paul assures her that it doesn't mean it's bad news that she hasn't received her letter from Columbia because they are known to send out their letters later than the other universities.

March 1st Analysis

Jessica continues to look up to Paul, even though she knows there is no chance for her crush to turn into something more because Paul is gay. Since she cannot have Paul, it also means that she cannot get hurt.
