The Twenty-eighth Summary

While school shopping at the mall, Jessica runs into the Clueless Two: Sara and Manda. Sara lost a lot of weight and is deeply tanned. Manda is pretending as if she is bored with the conversation. Sara uses the catchphrase, quote, unquote all the time. Manda sleeps with other people's boyfriends, such as Burke, Bridget's ex. Sara asks Jessica what she did all summer. Then, she asks if Jessica heard about the new hottie that's going to their school. Manda seems to put an end to this conversation. Jessica thinks that all of the optimism she had about returning to Pineville for her senior years has been sucked out of her. She decides to apply for early admission to Columbia.
