13-15 Summary
Arcadia and Homir visit Lord Stettin and his mistress Lady Callia. Arcadia is excited by the visit. She imagines Lady Callia as an intelligent woman who has manipulated her way into the Lord's affections. The reality, however, is very different. Lady Callia is plump and dimwitted. Nevertheless, Arcadia answers her questions about the Foundation and even tries to manipulate Callia into coaxing Stettin to allow Munn entrance into the Mule's palace. Initially Callia does not think it is a good idea because according to Kalgan culture, the Palace is cursed and no one has set foot inside since the Mule's death. Callia says Lord Stettin thinks the curse is nonsense, but even he has never dared to enter the palace.
