Peter Macdonald
Peter Macdonald becomes known as "the witness." Peter is a riding his bicycle near the beach when he happens upon a murder scene. The Cuban and Kingfish - both covered with blood - are coming out of the dunes onto the road while Damian Rose is standing on the road with a gun. The initial thought is that Peter has been fortunate - or unfortunate - in his timing and that he literally stumbled onto the scene. It will later be revealed that having him as a witness was very carefully planned. Damian's idea was to be certain that someone would lead the police on a wild goose chase searching for the tall, blond Englishman, and that the witness would eventually identify Clive Lawson as being that Englishman who orchestrated the murders.
As it happened, Peter fit into the plans nicely until the final scene - when...
