In Fairfax, Virginia, Harold Hill's family is getting ready to start their day. Harold's son Mark showers and goes downstairs where he finds a man and woman wearing white terrorist masks. One of them is Carrie Rose and the other is unidentified. Mark's mother, Carol, assures him that everything will be fine if they do what the pair says. Then she says that her husband will be home soon, but she is interrupted by Carrie who says they are "friends" of Harold and know that he isn't in the country.
