Chapters 28-34 Summary
In Chapter 28, Kelly Cruz questions the Plums in their Miami penthouse. Mrs. Plum tells Kelly that Thomas Ralston - owner of one of the yachts currently in Paradise - was one of the wild crowd Florence had been a part of; she calls him a gigolo, but says that his having money and owning a yacht was enough for Florence. Kelly tells the Plums about the videotape of Florence, and after a moment Mrs. Plum says that it doesn't surprise her; it was the kind of thing she would do to shock people. Mrs. Plum then says that she loved Florence, but gave up on her because she couldn't allow her to corrupt her two younger daughters.
