Summary
In the beginning of Part Two, Scythe Curie wrote the ten Scythe Commandments in her journal. These commandments are: scythes must kill, kill with no bias, grant a year of immunity to the family of those they glean and anyone else they deem worthy, kill the family of those who resist, serve humanity for their entire lives, keep a daily journal, kill no scythes other than themselves, claim no earthly possessions, never have a spouse or children, and follow no other rules than these. In Chapter 6, a businessman was on a flight when four scythes entered and announced that they had selected to glean everybody on the plane. The man ran toward the back of the plane to escape, but the lead scythe said that they would glean the entire family of anyone who ran away. The scythe ordered the man to choose...
