Chapter 23 Summary

Kaitlin wears the bracelet with Maggie's clasp on her wrist. In class, she continues thinking about Rick and what he could possibly be doing that would ensure the land being taken over by the Crutchfields.

Chapter 23 Analysis

Kaitlin continues thinking about what Rick would have been doing with Allison. Kaitlin's loyalty to her own family as well as to Bram is severely tested, because she knows she cannot turn her back on her family; yet, Kaitlin also knows that exposing Crutchfield schemes will only increase the hatred between the families.
