Summary
In Chapter 7, Jordan points out that in the United States, life is lived faster than it is in France. He has realized during his trip that being in a hurry is not always a good thing.
The students see the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. At dinner, they talk to some people from Kentucky. Jordan and Drew think that if they were in America, those people would probably not even speak to them. Maury has to pay for dinner again because the teachers’ credit cards still aren’t working.
That evening while the students are enjoying pastries in the garden of the hotel with Roche, he explains to them that he is partial to doughnuts because his family once owned a doughnut business.
