Summary

In Chapter 3, Jordan, Drew, and Maury spend the night before they leave for Paris with Liam. Jordan and Drew are shocked when they pull up to Maury’s huge house to pick him up. Before Maury leaves, Maury’s parents tell him they have put plenty of money on his debit card for him to spend on his friends.

Later, at Liam’s house, Liam’s grandparents, Geoffrey and Diana are waiting to visit with him. They are surprised to see him with three Black boys. Diana instinctively pulls her purse closer to her side. When Maury indicates that he practically lived there for a while, Diana whispers to Geoffrey that she does not remember Liam’s parents taking in foster children.
