Summary

In Chapter 9, Lance pulled up to Nick’s house as the police arrested him. Lance got out and talked to Morgan and Bud, Nick’s father. Bud said that Nick could never have hurt Tessa. He hated the sight of blood and vomited whenever he saw it. Morgan agreed that she had seen Nick vomit when her grandfather sliced his hand in the yard. Bud said that he was going to mortgage his house to hire an attorney, but Morgan was worried that would not be enough money.

In Chapter 10, the killer watched television and saw that Nick had been arrested. He was happy that he had gotten away with the crime, but still devastated that Tessa was dead. He kept pictures of her in a shoebox in his closet, along with a lock of hair. He hated that she had forced him...
