Chapter Twenty One through Chapter Twenty Four Summary
In Chapter Twenty-One, Mibs recalls her mother explaining that to scumble a savvy, one had to be able to soften it without covering it up. As Fish's storm blows stronger in the alley, Mibs realizes what her mother was talking about. A sign comes loose in Fish's wind and flies toward Will and Bobbi. At the last second, Fish is able to control his wind, and sends the sign harmlessly to the side. Fish is now able to control his savvy. The four climb aboard the bus, friends once again. As they are back on the road, Lester laments that he must make his delivery in the morning. The kids protest, but when Lill asks if there aren't people waiting for the children, their silence suggests something is amiss. Lill demands...
