Summary
In Chapter 4, Henry arrives home in his car after attending Theo’s performance. It is the early evening. Henry enters his house, and he is the only person there. He begins making preparations for the family dinner. As he prepares food, he watches TV news reports about the anti-war protests. There is also a report on the Russian cargo plane. Authorities found no ill intent on the part of the pilots, and the pilots were charged with no crimes. Henry feels an odd lack of relief, for he is unnerved with how quickly his anxieties had originally become activated by the crash. Soon, Daisy arrives at the house. They are both happy to see each other; they have not seen each other face-to-face in months, as Daisy was studying abroad. Daisy seems more grown-up than before, and Henry senses that she may have fallen...
