Summary

“All the Teenaged Sarahs” begins with the heading “THE ORDINARY WORLD” (173). Sarah is 11 years old and lives an ordinary life in a Midwestern suburb. Under the heading “CALL TO ADVENTURE” (174), Sarah receives a pink TV/VCR for her 12th birthday. She discovers the VCR has a tape in it labeled “Mystical Horse Camp for Girls: Promo Video” (174). The video features girls wearing taking part in camp activities, including grooming a horse.
