Chapter 5 Summary

As the Winglord stretches his fingers into the glove, Attia realizes that Rix wanted the Winglord to pull on the glove. Suddenly, the Winglord starts yelling that the glove is burning his hand and he begs for Rix to get it off. The glove seems to have a mind of its own as it forces the Winglord to paint Attia's name. Suddenly, the stars open in the sky and it starts raining blue feathers—identical feathers. Rix says the prison is doing it.

Rix confirms that the glove is not Sapphique's glove. Rix says he put acid in the glove, but the only reason the Winglord couldn't take the glove off is because Rix used magic so that he couldn't. Rix denies knowing anything about writing Attia's name.

Rix leaves Attia behind, so that nobody in the new village sees her with...
