Chapter 4 Summary

Claudia burst into Jared's room, who is her tutor. She finds the room empty, but finds a letter for Jared on the Queen's letterhead. The letter mentions Jared's work in trying to open the portal. When Claudia finds Jared, Jared is picking up hundreds of blue feathers off the floor in one of the rooms in the Queen's home.

In Claudia's head, she confirms that the portal is the way into Incarceron. She also thinks how her father is the only one that knows the secrets of Incarceron, but those secrets died with her father. Jared confirms to Claudia that he was experimenting with the portal when he ended up turning a feather into the multiple feathers that are flittering around the room.
