Chapter 3 Summary

Attia is talking to the Enchanter. He tries to get her to guess his real name. She overhears some call the Enchanter by his real name so she finds out his name is Rix. Attia starts to wonder if Rix is sane or insane. Attia also wonders if Sapphique's glove is real or just a stage prop. She also thinks about how to get her hands on the glove. Attia tries to convince Rix to teach her his tricks.

Rix says he has a password. When he hears someone speak it one day, he'll know that's his apprentice. When that happens, Rix plans to train his apprentice—teaching him or her all his tricks and passing on his stage props too.
