Chapters 47-52 and Epilogue Summary
In chapter 47, Wolf goes to a local bar to meet with Spider and is told that someone is attempting to hire a person to kill him. A friend of Spider's was approached by a woman with a tattoo on her right breast and offered money to kill Wolf. The man refused, but sent the woman to another man who might accept. Spider offers protection, but Wolf turns him down. In chapter 48, Wolf calls Ed and tells him what Spider said. Upon hearing this news, Ed questions Barbara about the tattoo on her breast. Barbara tells him that she, Miriam, and Leah, another sister, all got tattoos when Miriam, aka Julia, graduated high school.
