Summary
In Chapter 21, Sule worked on securing Anna's new Bamanaian passport. Anna spent several days Anna wandering the city. She visited the Tabernacle of Light, curious "to see what a church in Bamana was like" (178). She tried making sense of the singing, praying, and dancing. Finally the day came when she was "scheduled to meet" Kofi (179).
Kofi explained that he had used her cutlery from their first visit to conduct a paternity test. He now knew that she was his daughter. The more they talked, the more questions Anna asked him about the past. Though she knew he was "a politician, trained to convince," Anna could not help feeling drawn to Kofi (182).
