Dr. Marion Ford aka Doc
The main character of the novel, Ford is a biologist who specializes in studying a variety of marine animals. Throughout the novel, he is primarily interested in sharks, but his knowledge of marine animals will play a crucial role in the plot of the novel. In addition, his role as a biologist allows him to be someone the other characters immediately trust and not believe he could be involved with underhanded activities.
