Chapter Eleven and Twelve Summary

Ford takes one of his two boats out to Tomlinson's sailboat. Ford tells Tomlinson about his conversation with Bernstein and that he believes Jake is with General Zacul and his group called the Shining Path. He tells Tomlinson that he is leaving tomorrow to rescue Jake and wants to see if he will help him. Tomlinson agrees.

After getting Tomlinson's acceptance, he drives over to see Jessica. She knows about Dr. Braun-Richards and is upset that Ford was with her on the same night he was with Jessica. He ignores her complaints and warns her to stay away from her ex-boyfriend, Benny. Benjamin Rouchard (Benny) is one of the stockholders and is heavily involved with illegal smuggling of Mayan artifacts.

Tomlinson and Ford fly out the next day, touching down in San Jose, Costa Rica. Once there...
