The Twelfth Day: Alive Summary

The entire family remains in the attic of their neighbors house, cold and exhausted. China and the puppies have all died or at least disappeared. Skeetah suffers from immense guilt and feels as though he has failed his dog. Skeetah leaves on a tractor as soon as the water is low enough, convinced that he can still find China somewhere. When the water finally disappears, Daddy's truck is destroyed, and Randall realizes that they are going to need shelter for the next few days.
