Chapter 9 Summary

When Susan gets home around three in the afternoon, her mom tells her the news about Mike Ryerson. She tells Susan that Ben was at Matt's house when the police came for Mike's body, and she insinuates that there is something strange or sinister about Ben and that Susan would be better off dating Floyd again. Ann and Susan have a heated argument and Susan ends up slapping her across the face and telling her that she will be moving out. After they talk a little more, Susan apologizes to Ann for slapping her, but she says she is still going to move out.
