Summary
Agatha, Thomas, and Daphne go to church camp. Agatha does not like it. Agatha brings a mustard seed for show and tell. Reverend Emmett had discussed it the day before at juice time. The mustard seed belonged to her mother. Thomas is stunned. Agatha will not show him the contents of their mother’s jewelry box, but she will share it with the camp attendants. The box contains their mother’s papers and if the Bedloes know if it they will send the children off to strangers.
Thomas does not remember their mother. He just recalls following some red high-heeled shoes. Thomas does not want to give up the mustard seed when it comes to him, but he must. Ian picks up Cicely on their way home. It is Claudia’s birthday, and they are having a dinner for her. The children are worried...
