Chapters 31 and 32 Summary
Katie feels uneasy. At the library earlier, she had seen Gladys Feldman's obituary. She thinks about stealing the identification from the Feldman's file. She had stolen the birth certificate and the social security card from the file.
At dinner that night, Alex asks if Katie is okay. Katie says a friend of hers passed away. They talk about it taking five hours for Alex to drive Joyce to the airport and back. Alex asks Katie if she's thought about them getting married. She says she doesn't want to get married again. Katie admits to stealing her identity from people she cared about. She gets angry—accusing Alex of pushing her.
