Summary
In chapter twenty-six, Layla has a nightmare about the wedding. She dreams she is in the chapel and there's an old woman among the audience who doesn't smile. When she gets closer, the old woman's face morphs into Layla's cruel grandmother's face. In the dream, the woman begins yelling at Layla, saying Layla isn't entitled to happiness. As the dream goes on, Luke leads Layla down the aisle and hands her off to Will. It's only when she is with Will that she hears someone standing up for her. Will says Layla knows her grandmother is part of her past and has no place in the present.
