Summary

In chapter seven, Will and Eliana arrive. Caroline and Tyler know the entire story but Gwen and Chris are very surprised to find that Will is alive and they agree to keep the secret until the press conference in a few days.

Layla is helping Claire make up one of the beds after their friends leave. Layla realizes it's a bedroom that she's never entered before and Claire reveals that it was Penny's bedroom. Penny was Claire's daughter who died at a very young age though the details of her death are not revealed. Layla asks Claire why she and Luke never had another child. Claire says Luke felt that it would be as if they were trying to replace Penny. Layla recalls that Claire and Luke had been up for partners in Gregory's firm and had thrown themselves completely into their careers...
