Chapter 21, Chapter 22, Chapter 23 and Chapter 24 Summary
Chapter 21
Old Bob wishes that he and his wife, Evelyn, were closer. He says he is going to take a walk, and is surprised she agrees to come. Old Bob learns that Richie Stout is missing. He goes to talk to Derry Howe, and tells him he heard a rumor that he is planning something. He tells Old Bob to stay out of it, and that he is not planning anything. He finally tells Old Bob to stay away from the factory on the Fourth of July. Evelyn goes up to Enid Scott, and tells her she needs to stop running around and take care of her children. George Paulsen tries to butt in, but Evelyn shuts him down. Enid Scott looks like she is in shock after Evelyn talks to her.
