Chapters 6 -8 Summary

The door Jessie goes through leads into a long, dark corridor in Chapter 6. She hesitantly walks down the corridor and hears two men talking to one another. She marvels at the way they are complaining about their jobs. They begin turning on lights and Jessie quickly leaps from one dark area to the next. The men hear her and start to search the building. Jessie finds an open door that leads to a room filled with stage coaches. She decides to hide underneath one of them. The men search the room but cannot find Jessie. They continue to complain about their jobs and say that the amount of security around Clifton is worse than a prison. Apparently, the people in charge don't want anyone to escape.
